Personal statement

As an E.F.L teacher and supervisor, with over eight years of experience in Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Oman, I feel I have acquired the experience needed to facilitate learning and a comprehensively productive educational environment.

Having worked in school, corporate adult education and university settings I have the necessary empathy, patience and work ethics to teach students at all levels.
Through my own research and work based training, I have developed a progressive approach to teaching and learning, enabling me to create well prepared research based lessons, geared towards a successful outcome for students.

I am experienced in teacher training and curriculum design, subjects I have studied in detail as part of my MSc degree studies in Educational Leadership, involving research into curriculum design, human resource management in education and educational policy. My dissertation project was a study on the recruitment, development and retention policies for teachers and the impact on teachers’ motivation. This was completed in December 2014.
