TEA Staffing (Teaching English in Asia) welcomes you to explore the opportunities to teach in Korea. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated, professionals to fill English teaching positions for the start of the new school. The positions will begin March 1st, 2017. The positions are for a minimum one year contract with the option to renew or extend. The application deadline for interested candidates is February 1st.

Qualifications

Hold Citizenship from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa
Have no criminal record
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
Valid Passport
Clean Bill of Health
No prior teaching experience is required but preferred

*Preschool-Elementary position;*

Teaching preschool and elementary students can best be described as being a 1st grade teacher in an English speaking country. You will teach a variety of subjects such as math, science, art, and physical education. In addition to the aforementioned subjects, the curriculum is designed to develop other cognitive areas of development. This position utilizes an interactive teaching approach as the students are young learners.

A typical work day the hours are from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. Classes begin at 10am and continue on to 12 pm. There is an hour lunch break and classes resume at 1pm. Preschool classes will continue to 2:30 pm. There is another break from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm to provide time to prep for your afternoon elementary classes.

Elementary school level classes are broken down into 50 minutes classes. The elementary school students are usually graduates of the preschool continuing their English education. The elementary school curriculum will include a variety of subject focusing on the English language such as creative writing, debate, reading comprehension, and vocabulary.

*Salary and Benefits*

The starting salary for freshmen teachers in Korea will be 2.1 Million won. Here is a salary comparison to give you a better idea of what you can expect to earn annually.

In addition to a monthly salary of 2.1 Million won, the following benefits will be included in the compensation package.

Transportation cost, a one way ticket at the beginning or end of the contract
Two Weeks Vacation
All National Holidays paid time off (About 14 to 18 days per year)
