ESL Jobs in Korea

Seoul, Gwangjin-gu
By:Gwangjin ELC
Date: 19 September 2016

I am not a recruiter. I am helping my current school find a replacement Native English Teacher, starting in December. One of our current native teachers is leaving after 3 years at the school. This is a great medium-sized hagwon in Seoul that teaches primarily elementary students, with some middle school students. Class sizes range from 2-10 students, with some group classes that reach up to 25 students. Working hours are from ~2:00pm to 10:00pm, and native teachers average 5-6 classes per day, with lots of prep-time. Every teacher has their own desk and computer, and all classrooms are equipped with computers and TV screens. The overall atmosphere of the school is more casual than many in Seoul. The director is kind, and always pays on-time. The school is located in Guii-dong, Gwangjin-Gu, Seoul.

We are looking for an American or Canadian Native English Teacher, preferably with experience living abroad and working with children. The school offers E-2 visa sponsorship, 50% medical coverage and 50% pension. Additionally, you also get severance at the end of your 1 year contract.

If you are interested in the position, please send an email with a resume, photo, and the information below at gwangjin.elc@gmail.com. A short cover letter is much appreciated. Please indicate the status of your work documents (visa, FBI check, apostilled degree).
