Hi, I’m Steve – My wife(Korean) and I own and run(and teach at) an English Academy named Indigo located in the Dangjin area of Chungcheongnam-do province.

We are looking for 2 experienced teachers who are also a couple - preferably a married couple.

Your apartment is approx. 1200square feet (33 pyong) in size and includes 2 bathrooms (with a bathtub), 3 bedrooms, massive patio and great view of forested hills -the kitchen is very large and has a dishwasher and an actual, real, oven! This is in a family style apartment complex, so you would have access to a full gym, golf practice center, table tennis room, and basketball court. 4 new tennis courts are available in town - just 2 minutes from the apartment complex.

We also provide the both of you with one car (insurance paid by us) – it’s yours 24/7 – you have the keys – you can take it whenever & wherever you want to go explore the country on weekends!

We provide one (awesome) apartment for 2 teachers – so we prefer to have a couple living there – No singles please.

The ideal candidates would have at least 1 year experience teaching English in Korea: Age groups: elementary through to adult. We are located in a smallish town of about 20,000 people – so you both need to be able to adapt to small town life. This is the reason we provide a car – so that you can get out of town whenever you want and not have to depend on public transportation.

Besides myself, you may only find one or two other foreigners living in this town. However, there is a small community of foreign teachers(approx.30) living in the city of Dangjin which is about 14 kilometers drive from here – about 10 minutes.

You would be teaching eight 45 minute classes over the span of an 8 hour work day (Monday-Friday) – there are NO split shifts at our school – just one complete 8 hour block of classes. Usually between 3:00p.m and 11:00pm. Your scheduled classes normally remain the same throughout the week, however there are times when we need to move/change classes between teachers – so we need experienced teachers who can adapt quickly and easily to sudden changes in our schedule.

All benefits are included. Our base salary for 1 teacher is 2,100,000 korean won – but we are flexible on that depending on how much(type of) experience you have(up to 2,300,000).

If you are in Korea and only need to do a visa run(which we will pay for of course) – we will also give you a 150,000w bonus per person. If you are in Korea and also don’t need do the visa run (E2 visa transfer) then we will give a 400,000w bonus per person.
