Travel, Teach, Live in Europe and Middle East
There are a couple of things that are a bit 'off' in this paper, but I will only comment about one in particular:
You note that there is a man 'driving his new American pick-up truck with his 5 wives in the back'.
Yeah, I know stereotypes are hard to resist, but come on. First of all-- how do you know the women in the back aren't the guy's family (sisters? mother? aunts? nieces?)--think about it, hot shot!
Secondly, the guy can't have 5 wives-- Islam allows the guy to marry 4 wives, so long as he can equally provide for each of them (financially, emotionally, physically). I'm not saying it's cool to marry 4 wives, at all, but come on-- at least write about something you know about! Or at least do some research and don't embarrass yourself!
Lastly, I don't know what part of Khobar you lived in-- but you got shafted-- living up the street from a prison?? Sounds like you got screwed by your institute.
