The prices in Moscow are a bit higher, but still less than in many other European capitals. Renting a 2 room apartment will coast you about 25000 rur/970 USD. The apartments are not high quality, more like basic, but enough to leave for a few months. As for dinner in a restaurant. It really depends on the level of the restaurant and it's position on the market. You can find a good meal for about 300 rur/11 USD. On average i would say it should be like 1000 rur / 38 USD. But there are always higher prices =) Most movies show dubbed films, there are two or three that show original version. The ticket would coast you 350 rur / 13 USD. Average salary for a Russian clerk would be something like 1500-2000USD with 20 days of holidays per year. They do not normally provide flats etc. The salary is enough to even save some money.
