Berlin is the capital city of Germany. Alongside it also is one of the biggest states of Germany. Berlin is considered to be the largest city of Germany because it is presently home to more than 3.4 million people. If we take a look at the statistics of European Union then Berlin is considered as the eighth most populous region regarding urban areas.

Geographically Berlin is located on the west side of the border with Poland nearby. The distance is about 44 miles apart. Berlin City is rich in natural beauty having a lot of greenery and grass plains which now with the help of government have been transformed into beautiful parks.

Berlin is considered as one of the major centers and the base for science, media and culture. Berlin also is one of the cities of the world which is rich in history. As it can clearly be seen within the museums and art galleries located inside the boundaries of the city.

The climate of Berlin does not receive extreme conditions. As in summers the temperature at maximum ranges from 20-25C. The winters are comparatively cold with a temperature range from 4-9C.

People living in Berlin have different religions, some of them are Roman Catholic, about 6% are Muslims and a large number of people round about 60% have no registered religion.

Berlin is a city having rich culture, as there are over 400 art galleries, which represent the art and culture of the Berlin City. As it is culturally strong so there are a number of cultural institutions out of which most of them are internationally recognized.

Economically Berlin is on the stronger side having an economical growth rate of 1.6% which in figures makes US$108 billion. The sectors which are involved in making Berlin's economy a strong one are industrial and agriculture sectors.

Berlin is also rich in the educational sector as it has a number of educational institutions as well as technical universities. These universities offer a wide range of technical subjects to their students so that they can compete in the modern world. These educational institutions give admissions to a number of students from all around the world in a year to facilitate them with better and quality education.

Within Berlin City the transportation system is very dense and highly complex, but complex bridges and roads are now a need of Berlin from the matter of fact that in 2006, 1.4 million cars and other vehicles got registered and were on roads.

Sports are also of major importance in Berlin as people are social and they like to go out to watch live games. Berlin has a team in many sports out of which one of the renowned team is in the football sector named as "Hertha Berlin", also in the basketball sector they have "ALBA Berlin" and the list goes on.
