Malaga is the sixth largest city of Spain with a population of 568,305 located in the southern Spanish region of Andalucia. It was founded by Phoenicians and is one of the oldest cities in the world. Two very famous personalities, Pablo Picasso and Antonio Banderas were born in Malaga. Tourism, construction, agriculture and technology services are the city’s most significant business sectors.

The entire city can be seen in a couple of days and has many different appealing things like the beach, hiking, shopping and cuisine. Malaga is also known as Costa del Sol because of its excellent weather and beaches. Many tourists are attracted to Malaga because of its beautiful and sandy beaches and pleasant weather. Nerja beach is a very famous beach and is ideal for fishing. In summer, Malaga experiences an average temperature of 16 degrees Celsius and in winter, January is the coolest month with a temperature of 11 degrees Celsius.

Malaga has a famous Picasso Home Museum which was built in 1861 and till now has gone through a lot of renovation. The work, sketches and classic pieces of Picasso are found in the museum. It is one of the very important museums found in Malaga.

Many cultural events take place in Malaga but the most interesting of all is the Holy Week celebration and the August Malaga Fair. When Malaga fair takes place, the streets of the city are turned into symbols of Spanish culture and history. Live flamenco shows take place in the evening and day events include live music, dancing, different rides and games and many more different amusements.

Malaga has world class golf courses because of which it is also famously known as Costa del Golf. Theme parks, water parks, safari and many beautiful landscaped public gardens can also be found where families and youngsters can greatly enjoy. Tivoli world, one of the top tourists’ attractions is a theme park and has a variety of rides for small children. The park also provides entertainment like Wild West shows, ballet and children’s special.

Bullfighting is a famous sport here and people enjoy this sport in the Malaga bullfighting ring which was established in 1874. Many churches and worshipping places can be found here like Sagrario Church and Santiago Church.

Malaga is one of the most famous places for tourists and people greatly enjoy beautiful sandy beaches and many other outdoor activities.
