What Is the Weather Like in Nice, France?

France is a European country that extends from the English Channel and Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. France is roughly eighty percent of the size of the state of Texas. France has many cities. One of most visited French cities is the city of Nice. Nice is the fifth largest city in France and one of the population centers of the Cote d'Azure. Visitors to Nice can expect a largely mild climate with rare rainfall and much sunshine.

Spring Weather
Spring is a very pleasant time of year to visit Nice. Many of the local gardens are in bloom, yet the area is less touristy and less crowded. March, April and May typically see high temperatures in the low to mid sixties. April is the wettest of the spring months, with rainfall averaging roughly two inches.

Summer Weather
Summer is one of the most popular times to visit Nice. During this time thousands of people travel through Nice to explore the French coastline. June, July and August are the hottest months of the year. Average temperatures in June are roughly seventy-five degrees with a low of sixty-three in cooler evening hours. July temps can reach eighty one for a high. August is the hottest month of the year in Nice. Average temperatures reach eighty-two degrees.

Fall weather
Fall temperatures in Nice are very pleasant and temperate. They generally range from the high seventies in September to the low sixties in November. October is the wettest month of the year in Nice. Rainfall averages nearly four inches for the entire month. Lows can reach the high forties.

Winter Weather
Winter weather in Nice generally does not fall below freezing. Snow is extremely rare. Average high temperatures in January and February are roughly fifty-six. The average low is in the mid-forties. Rainfall is generally between one to two inches per month.

Humidity and Wind
Nice has a very dry climate. High-humidity days are extremely rare in this part of the country. Winds can be very strong, especially during the spring.
