English schools in Europe
At New Century Study we believe that English is much more than just a language – it is one of the keys to success in the newly-enlarged Europe and, indeed, the globalising world. From our experience, we have found that the skills to use English can best be developed away from the traditional format, one-size fits all, large-group, school-classroom setting.
Our individual approach provides a modern learning experience which can be matched to your requirements, in terms of learning both the English language and the culture, at your own pace, whilst living and learning with host families and specialist teachers of English as a foreign language.
This modern and different approach can offer a very effective and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Founded in 1999, we gave our company the name “New Century Study”, a name which reflects our determination to develop a modern approach to English teaching and learning, fit for the new century. Our “New Century Study” puzzle logo brings our brand into line with the progress we have made since 1999, providing a new look for the company to celebrate eight years of development. We are a family-run business, originally based in Essex, to the North-East of London and served by Stansted Airport. In the years since 1999, we have expanded into Kent, to the South-East of London and served by the Ashford Eurostar Rail Station. Both areas are also convenient for day trips to London.
TESOL: For many years, NCS has worked with INTESOL, an accredited TESOL qualification provider, to promote a distance-learning qualification for specialist teachers of English as a foreign language. NCS has now established another close working relationship with the Winner Language Institute, based in Khartoum, Sudan. NCS has been awarded the franchise to offer a prestigious new course leading to an internationally recognised, fully accredited College of Teachers Certificate in TESOL and the INTESOL Certificate in the Methodology and Practice of English Language Teaching. The course offers a very flexible combination of distance-learning for theory and methodology, with intensive, face to face teaching practice at the Winner Language Institute.
