Our Mission: The mission of the School for International Training is to prepare students to be interculturally effective leaders, professionals, and citizens. In so doing, SIT fosters a worldwide network of individuals and organizations committed to responsible global citizenship. SIT fulfills this mission with field-based academic study abroad programs for undergraduates and degree and certificate programs for graduates and professionals.
Graduate Programs:
SIT Graduate and Professional Studies
Through an academic curriculum that incorporates field-based practice, reflection and application, SIT prepares graduates who are critical thinkers, effective communicators and compassionate advocates with exceptional intercultural abilities and awareness.
Master of Arts in Teaching Program (MAT)
prepares teachers to work effectively in classrooms and schools by developing essential competencies in reflective, learner-centered teaching. Concentrations: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in Academic Year and Summer formats, Teaching English as a Second Language in US Public Schools, and Teaching French or Spanish in US Public Schools.
