Surely the cabin could have been revamped/upgraded/widened slightly to enhance passenger comfort, and the avionics/computer system upgraded, they did a upgrade after the french plane crashed apparently, according to wikipedia.

Sad to read that it would cost many more millions to restore the remaining concorde planes in the UK, now that they have been drained of fuel and took out of service. I wish Richard Branson had kept it going, was bloody treason on BA's part to suspend it, and that of Airbus to refuse to maintain any further. For purely economic and social links between the UK and the USA alone, it was invaluable, London to NYC in 3 hours or thereabouts, now it is an 8 hour flight...does not seem like progress to me?
