We no longer need to debate whether we should have a monarchy or not

Things can always change in this regard. Spain was not always a monarchy, and Taiwan was not always a democracy, and China was not a communist country in the past. I doubt the UK will ever become under islamic law though, despite what the radicalists would like, Canada has gone too far the other way imho. Again, I stand by the below picture, absolute rulers/dictators (as they are called in the west) in muslim countries (like Assad in Syria, the royals in Qatar, Saudi, UAE) are doing what they know best, keeping those who would turn the region into an islamic caliphate under control, even if it means beheading/gassing/imprisoning them, it is naive to think that one of those countries could ever become like a western style democracy, so it seems to be a lesser of two evils situation, just my H.O.
