In response to A warning re the new work permit system (WS)

Just so everyone knows - this is not a new thing at all.

It is possible to get the original employers to cancel the work visa HOWEVER for whatever reasons they almost never cooperate. Basically you have to wait the year out before applying for the next work visa.

Not new, this was happening at least 4 years ago in my experience and I'd already heard that a dozen times from other expats who'd been here longer.
