Perfect combination I would say!

Wellcome supermarket in HK used to sell VB, cannot remember now if it was just bottles only or cans as well. I think they definitely had the bottles. And I used to love mrs macs pies, easy to microwave, for a quick snack. Never had the pleasure of trying a pie floater, Anthony bourdain and Billy Connolly have both raved about it when they visited Aus, I think that is a food of "everyman", you could even go so far as to say that it embodies what Aus is all about, beer and good food with your mates, and everyone being the same.
