OK... I guess I have the right to my own plug on this thread now: Best wishes to the extraordinary Barbara Boxer who will retire in January (she is 76). Barbara has been US senator from California since 1993 (with Dianne Feinstein). Extremely active; we owe her a lot of what is good in California.
