The internet is a cesspool. Finding genuine data online is akin to searching for your wife's engagement ring after your toddler flushes it.

In the university, even the most diligent students struggle to credentialize while using the internet as a resource. Evaluating the quality of information in your native language is difficult enough; in a second language it is nearly impossible.

In China, English textbooks are of poor quality and outdated. Government English language sites are pedantic. The ESL teacher in the university must be able to provide Western websites and sources that are legitimate, require moderate English language ability and do not require VPN access.
