The EU too is a bit hard to penetrate since most employers prefer EU residents already. If you have European lineage, it may be easier to get a work visa, depending on the country.

I have a colleague that went to the middle east, Qatar if memory serves, and she says her employer took care of almost everything: fully furnished house even a car, though she had to say no to the car since she can't drive.
