You are right to be cautious.
First of all, what reputable website would not register their domain name? I checked and it's not listed. Even if it's in the "early days" of development, registration would seem a prerequisite. Having said that, there are some dodgy websites that are registered. Second, a "union" implies some kind of membership and representation. Who is going to fund this? Third, and perhaps most important, there is a very nasty and clever virus spread by users visiting fake sites. This virus is so effective that anti-virus software doesn't pick it up at present. It's was in the news in the last week so check it out.
If I'm wrong OK, but for a new venture to supposedly help teachers, it's not a good start! And, as yet there only one post from this new venture.
