turnoi, what i've really tried to express is the local approach to teaching english which directly and indirectly confronts what our western teaching certification leads us to. from my experience, our jobs at times are on the line if we don't follow the local approach and then local supervisors/managers evaluate our work performances based on their own standards which sometimes, as i have mentioned, contradict our educational backgrounds and what we have been led on to in the field.

however, i do agree with what turnoi says with regards to the teaching certs that offer some short term solutions such as the 4 week ones. some don't even offer real contact teaching time issueing those poor teaching credentials.
