1) You are fortunate that ANYONE at the U.S. Consulate or the U.S. Embassy could even speak enough English to handle your call, much less answer the phone. I seriously doubt at all that they had any form of influence on you getting your passport back.

As for the Wuhan office of the PSB, Bureau of Entry and Exit Wounds....they are far from the worst in China. Maybe they are in the top 20 if I had to guess.

I just got my 10-year perm residence visa on Monday after my 5-year per residence expired. I was there at the PSB for about 45-minutes and gone.

I'll take the PSB over anyone at the U.S. Embassy or the U.S. Consulate any day.

The PSB in China, well...they are the PSB in China.
