I have to agree wholeheartedly with Silverboy on this one. Although I've no experience teaching in HK, I have been to and through it several times and it has horrendous air pollution, on a par with filthy old Taiwan. And the stress on the bus drivers face said it all when I asked him a question.........his hands were shaking and he was sweating....on an air-conditioned bus.
Hong Kong has very little going for it, it's just an over-rated and over-advertised shopping mecca and another bastion of un-regulated capitalism, causing its' many inhabitants to have a miserable, underpaid and over-worked life. It's terribly over-crowded, polluted and chaotic. No sane western person should bother with the place.
