Glad you enjoyed and witnessed it for yourself. I hope,regardless of it's flaws as judged by me, you enjoyed yourself:)
And to answer your question,yes, I have been to northeast China, but I certainly wouldn't live in Harbin or Changchun or somewhere like that in the northeast, for the reasons of pollution as I already stated. The church was mostly destroyed by Mao, so it is not even an authentic orthodox church anymore, but I suspect that kind of faux style is not only unique to Harbin in China.
