Yeah...I agree he's trying to sit on two chairs, while not being knowledgeable enough with either one. Sometimes though you cannot force someone to change their minds if they haven't been through the experience themselves or they haven't met enough people who have had the experience. The bad world of esl english doens't get a lot of press in the USA. Hopefully people will come to realize the situation as more of us experience the "hospitality" of our "pleasant hosts" in asia.
