In my experience, many young female foreign teachers are not overly impressed when they see male foreign teachers in romantic associations with local Chinese females.
It was suggested to me by a fellow male foreign teacher at one of my former colleges that Western women usually feel upstaged by the natural beauty and shapeliness of many Chinese girls and women. When they see a handsome male foreign teacher taking up with such an Asian beauty, their faces may fall due to jealousy, they may give him the cold shoulder, or they may even become bitchy towards him from then on. There may be some truth in this - just re-read her rant. So, I'd make allowances in this respect if I replied to her post. I guess you'd already done that, judging by the content of your post.
