I would also ask if the school has set down learning objectives for students i.e what they are supposed to be able to do during their time at school. If they have, then you could see where what you propose to do, fits-in with those objectives. It's not sufficient for them to say for example, "Improve oral English." If they haven't set down learning objectives then I cannot see why speeches from American politicians, (an earlier post of yours), have any relevance at all

This is exactly along my lines of thinking. It is interesting to meet so many like minded fellows here!

I don't even have a course book to work from mate! It is utterly frustrating, especially as the middle school students at this place deserve FAR better!

I know burning bridges is bad, but I have done it before, dusted myself out, and got out ok again.
