Some FT's forget where they came from

I would agree!

As someone born in the UK, but with friends from Australia and New Zealand, and having lived myself in Germany and having family in Spain, I don't really consider China to be any better than other countries in the world. How many chinese would emigrate to beautiful places like New Zealand or a country house in the wine valley regions Australia given the chance? Or a villa on the med in Spain?

In China, I think luxuries are important to give us a taste of the west, or our respective homelands. So once a month I will buy a bottle of Spanish cava from the imported wine shop here, New Zealand butter and lamb, and Aussie wine also...

I didn't come to china to live like a farmer or gardener on 1,500 rmb a month...sorry to say!
