First Time - ESL discussion

I have recently decided to teach english abroad,I have been told that a high school diploma and a TESOL certificate are sufficient to begin teaching in china. I'm very serious and wonder if a willingness to sign a long term contract will make me more appealing to employers. As well will a nonprefrence in location improve my employability?
and lastly I wonder what my resume should look like; Should I design my resume as a List Of skills are as a letter describing myself and my abilities. The latter was shown to me as acceptably but i wonder.
any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
