In response to Re: HK 15 years handover (San Migs)

The Chinese who grow up in the Mainland aren't educated to trust themselves, so they must take their opinions from the Mainland's media. All that baseless arrogance can really be seen as a self projection of low self esteem and a lack of intuition across all boards. The flawed, insecure, and immature personalities which develop from growing up in this country or being raised in a chinese way can really create people who live to see faults in others, especially when it comes to engaging with non-Han folks.

The crutch that most chinese lean on is the self rationalization of how much they are supposedly contributing to the world's growth, what is overlooked is the fact that a lot of that supposed growth is actually circled back to benefit the chinese only and not to the world. Fair business and selfless contribution just simply isn't on the agendas of most people around the world these days, and the chinese are no exception to this.

When I heard a recent story of a Teacher who was hired in China to instruct Ethics, I really thought of that as a bit of a joke. But at the same time it can be dangerous too because to show a group of people not intent on following rules how westerners think and operate leaves all of us who go by some form of ethics vulnerable.
