While I may not agree with you or Magister on the ethical boundaries of a relationship between a 44 year old and a 21 year old, I won't take the side of the detractors, either. They don't make themselves sound any more credible than the original poster with slandering and insulting. If you're going to use ethics, first apply them to yourself. If I was the original poster reading these threads and I saw people who really didn't give a shyte about my circumstances, then I would think why should I care about their opinion of me?

As much as I don't like the idea of the 21 year old possibly being taken advantage of, I don't think extra protection from society would make them better people. I doubt these folks with the "better" morals take into account circumstances such as people who are into their 30's and 40's who aren't sexually active still and they may see a younger mate in their twenties who has been in more than one relationship, which isn't common but can still happen.
