The difference in comparison to China is that you have a fair chance to get this sorted out by court if you have to; in China, this is almost impossible for obvious reasons.

Call it common law, rule of law, it is anything but rule BY law, which is what China has. Therefore the individual or little man has no power or rights in contemporary China, of course the system needs changing, but it will not. The party will just maintain power under the guise of economic progress and stability, as they have always done.
