My wife is also keen to open a language school (shock horror). She has rented 3 floors in a good location and equipped the place with boards, desks and easy chairs. I advised here to go and see the education department and they were helpful. They advised her that she can start the school on a provisional licence and then they will come and inspect.

We were thinking about starting a school a few years ago but where we were in China they required to see a million Yuan in a Chinese bank account which was out of my league. Do you mind me asking if you had to show any money?
