I have successfully applied tablets in both work and hobbies to a limited extent. However, I am very cautious about applying technology just for the sake of it. In one of my hobbies, using a tablet can be considered impressive and it can do a few fancy tricks here and there, but traditional wired hardware has proven to be far more reliable.
