My observation has been that administration and department managers do not recognize a distinction between a Christian and a missionary. They accept proselytizing, short of baptisms in the classroom, as routine Christian behavior. Of course, Chinese students are loath to report untoward behavior by teachers, foreign or otherwise.

Perhaps FAO management, in their stereotypes of foreign teachers, prefer blatant bible-thumping to surreptitious student-humping.
