These dodgy imports on poor quality copied VHS tapes used to pretty much all we had in the U.K when I was a teenager, because hardcore porn was illegal until British laws were overridden by the 'freedom of expression' part of the European Human Rights Laws, which didn't happen until the early 2000's, if I remember correctly. So, porn was quite tame and boring by today's standards for me as teenager, unless it was produced on the continent.

I am forever scarred for life, by a particular German grumble flick which was pretty much a parody of a drama set in Victorian times or something, completely mocks British people. Especially in the way that 'cream' was added to the cups of tea... I was pretty stoned when I watched it with a load of mates when his parents went away for a weekend and I just couldn't stop laughing at the awful screenplay and acting.

Not sure where he was getting all these illegally imported tapes and mags from, but he made a good bit of cash renting out all these porn VHS tapes to us at school from his backpack in the smoker's corner, we all used to borrow them off him. I think he got caught once, but he says that he gave a couple to the teacher and nothing more was said.

Young people these days just won't ever realise what porn used to be like with all that cheesy music, badly written 'storylines', mullets, fully grown untrimmed bushes and those German/Dutch accents...
