Bushibans (in the mainland) can be very profitable if you set them up by yourself, if you teach 10 students for RMB 100 each, that is not a bad hourly wage at all. Better yet, you are in charge of all the materials and lesson plans and can therefore ensure that the quality of teaching exceeds anything at any of the nearby training centres or universities, whom may interfere with a teacher’s work.
The problem? As you would be completely unlicensed, you are pretty much asking for a savage dry bumming if you get caught.
Mind you, such laws are required since every second poor foreigner is a A.I.D.S ridden, lowlife, paedo, drug addicted rapist these days.
It is a huge shame, since Chinese teachers tend to pretty much always supplement their income in this manner by tutoring high school students who are trying that little bit harder to pass their exams.
