I can say that the local TV company seems to have licensed a lot of content from abroad as the movie channel has stuff in several European languages. They even show live football matches but the time difference can be a problem. Some of the movies have a VIP sticker and this costs more to access either at 20 yuan a time or as an addition to the annual subscription. I haven't bothered with this so far.

I only came across one such local tv company and that was in Shandong Province, is that yours? if so don't bother with it as it has some iffy stuff to pedal to say the least. Might be of interest to the poster in Big T's wardrobe, but not for you. hahaha only joking lol.
