Sludge - 2015-01-06

Firstly, happy 2015. Now to respond...if I may ? :O

Your email was only asking if I'd opened a coffee shop and not where I worked previously, and I replied honestly with a lot of detail. You tagged on the bit about my former employer in a separate post and now say I'm not being honest because (2 years ago, 2012) I refused to give details of where I worked as a teacher. You were basically saying I was dishonest.

If I came across that way I apologize, it was not my intention to rile you. I was going through a bad patch and it was wrong of me to post that.

You then went on in another post about UK professors, arrogance and socialism to which I replied. You said:

That was not about you, but someone from yorkshire. I won't name the individual in question as I do not want to be sued, but I know this person is unethical and the worst kind of fake socialist. Also I generally do not like people who go around saying that 9/11 was a good thing, or that 9/11 was an inside job, just because of some anti-american prejudice. But that is a whole other issue.

Ok, but I would ask why this is even necessary? We don’t all think the same or make the same lifestyle choices.

True. I will concede defeat here, we do not.

It’s very difficult to answer the charge of 'arrogance' or being pompous, without me appearing to you to have those traits.

Perhaps aloof was a better term. You just strike me as a bit of a hermit, someone who would not mix with other westerners, but that is your perogative.

You said I was "self-centred" but this would apply to almost anyone. I've done loads of work for charities and fundraising in the past so being self-centred is relative.

I apologize for that, but the impression I got is you are something of a early retired 40 something thatcherite type, if not, I am sorry. Good to hear you have done fundraising.

I will not supply any email addresses for FAOs

On this we will just have to agree to disagree. If these boards can not be about caring and sharing then I honestly do not see the point anymore-this will be my last post on these boards and my final say on the matter in this thread.I still stand by it though, FT's should help each other out--an email of a former employer costs noone anything, except a few types on a keyboard and a click of a mouse.I have too much stuff going round in my mind, and problems of a personal nature that I need to solve, that I do not need the stress of debating what if's with strangers who are wealthier than me, maybe 2 years from now we can engage in all this, but not now, nothing personal, just an FYI.

- that is my right and my choice. Considering how this issue has festered with you all this time I'm not going to change my stance now, especially as we all saw what can happen - as in someone creating a fake Facebook profile for Beth. Sinister!

Finally, I will not let it fester any longer, you have given me a satisfactory resolution. I did not create the fake facebook profile for beth and nor did turnoi, I think she would find the IP behind that was a vpn from Dalian, so from a fellow former colleague. I am in Hong Kong, so it certainly did not come from me! My email is included, but I expect you not to reply, so let us just leave it there. Good bye and good luck.
