Re Two Hong Kong universities drop the CET

Agreed, there is a sort of elitism at work. Then you get the expats with chinese wife crowd who look down on those without.

Re Two Hong Kong universities drop the CET

I was in Qingdao at "one stage" for a 5-day holiday but have never worked there. Not having to rely on a teacher's salary meant I could travel extensively and I've also had holiday breaks in Dalian, Beijing, Shanghai and many other places in China and elsewhere.

For you and SB it almost seems to be unacceptable to be an FT in China and not have pots of money from rental income et cetera. Let me tell you that an FT who just relies on his salary(as an ft) as long as he doesn't frequent stupidly expensive 'Long Island Tea establishments' or brothels also has it in her/his ability to travel extensively in China!! I am without a pot to piss in.

By the way, tell them to mind their own businesses regarding your visit to qingdao-on-sea.
