Re Two Hong Kong universities drop the CET

Fair enough mate. I can agree on not naming the unis part, In the spirit of reciprocity I will name a few places I worked (and enjoyed) and some I didn't.

Luojiang (near Cheng du,Sichuan). Great spicy cheap hotpots, chill friendly people, and really helpful and nice students, I really miss teaching at the place I was at there, even if some of the students were lazy and prone to absenteeism and tardiness. Nice mountains to go hiking in, and "nong jia le".

Nanjing, did not enjoy so much, terribly hot in summer, quite polluted, and a very cliquey band of expats. Also quite expensive, perhaps due to the high speed rail link to Shanghai. Not good to be an FT there in my honest opinion.

Shenzhen, good for a quick get out to Hong Kong, you are right next door. Good food from all over china, due to the number of migrants there, but at the same time a high crime rate, you have to be careful at night, many robberies and a lot of prostitution.

Cheers and happy new year,
SMGS
