I think the USA should not be afraid to flex it's muscles in the pacific region, especially given what China is doing to the Phillipines, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Why the chinese can't get it through their thick skulls that they don't own the world, just because of their name, zhong guo, the middle kingdom, I honestly don't know. Taiwan seems like a country to me, it's own flag, laws, stamps, constitution and armed forces. Even HK and Macau are more or less countries, their own internet domain. Off to Taiwan hopefully sooner rather than later...HK is going to become just like Shenzen eventually, lots of expats grumbling and leaving.
