I was particularly impressed by a native Chinese church in Shenzhen in 2012; they were a big church and seemed to be quite wealthy. It's an old church that was foundesd by German protestant Lutheran missionaries between 1884 and 1912.

Yuncheng of Shanxi Province has a majestic old church built using American missionary money many years ago. It is said that the American religious organization was subsequently forced out of China. I believe it was a Catholic church, but don't quote me on that!
