Re Daves's ESL Cafe trolls

DS has made a fortune from employers/recruiters and so his forums look out for their interests. Had his discussion site served teachers instead, the man would've probably not been able to own $ 1.5 mil home and a team of lawyers.

The "trolls", whom I'd rather call "abusive posters", are more often the employers/recruiters than the teachers themselves. With the support of posters employed by Dave himself, those misleading and insulting writers are able to keep the eslcafe social media intact, so that the money flows into the pockets of people who have jobs to offer. The economies of nations that are tied to DS web are seemingly better off with him than without him.

Having said that, however, the ambiguous view on employment conditions that often favor schools DS provides may not be as legal as his team suggests. Then, the money he accepts from all directions may not be as clean as is supposed to be. Even if he gets caught once in a while, it only is a poke in the eye for the man with a few million on hand who keeps the American unemployment a wee bit lower and uni enrollments higher than they'd be without him.

Lastly, the amount of teachers, who have followed DS's channels to misfortune, may be concerning. We make our choices, but the question is whether we should always be responsible for them when so much information is distorted to such a great extent and so many opportunities are so rotten thanks to people like DS.

Daves's ESL Cafe trolls

Nothing tops the cockroach trolls that fly out of the wood work when someone posts a warning about an abusive person, school, or agency there. And just flailing garbage with no point or focus. God forbid Dave Sperlings' income from his advertisers drop to the same level that foreign teachers make in China. Peace.
