Christians and others who follow one of the Abrahamic books do not have a monopoly on morality! And we have seen in the Middle-East just how religious 'laws' are interpreted.

Are you referring solely to Islam here, for example ISIS and their acts of beheading coptic christians on a beach, or all of the abrahamic faiths per se?

With the exception of perhaps the state of Utah in the USA, I can't think of one place that has the Old Testament or parts thereof as law. And even Utah permits drinking, just not so much as the other states of the USA.
