Re re: why capital is fleeing China

Although the environmental corruption has been the issue, the stock market crash may be the point of no return. I dare to speculate that some of the richest people in China are pretty much ticked off. Not long ago, some of the 10 wealthiest people in the country including Jack Ma (#3) and the number one (can't recall his name) have been invastigated by the local police which may have triggered their frustrations. The wealthiest man in China a couple weeks ago, publicly addressed the central government. In any case, the markets rapid downfall, which began this summer, followed up the investigations, and so my wild guess is that not only the money is leaving China but also stocks are compromised by the local richest and their accomplices abroad. They may see a motive and opportunity to purposely lose "a few bucks" as Beijing can control everything except the stock market.

Environmental clean-up costs have been avoided due to corruption. Filters are taken off at night, when the smoke is less visible. If local residents complain too loudly, local squads of goons attack them.
