Interesting, never met him, but there are many such people. It is odd that a lot of people from nanning end up in HK.

As an update for you and others, I am currently homeless but working. If I rent a room I wont save anything yet I refuse to return to china and jump through their hoops. So perhaps now you can understand why I am pro taiwan and why it is appealing to me, cheaper than hk, but cleaner and freer than mainland PRC.
