The initial topic is about who fits this environment and so it is your, not my, trouble when you go on with "Chinese bosses", "oriental despotism" or "independent trade unions". A blend of Chinese and foreign employees in an office is one thing, a kool aid drinking group of posters on forums in another. So, who do you want this message board to serve? I choose to follow the untactful and opinionated original poster whoever it may be and I pick to think of the suitable for China FTs that may struggle to find enough helpful info on the internet. My suggestive reply on the topic is that mostly the hitched to locals or business opportunistic foreign souls fit the country. Others probably are the retirees who seemingly are becoming the third kind of souls that somehow see a purpose to stay.
