Re WW3: What place on Earth would be the safest?

The two of you are a big hit with the ladies, aren't you? There are very few benefits to being older, clear memories of a nuclear disaster doesn't seem like it would be one of them. I was 5 at the time, so I'll take your word for it. Seeing as you appear to have grown up during the Cold War, you might have a bit of a slanted perspective, but radiation is something we're exposed to constantly and just isn't as terrifying and unavoidable as they made it seem in your boyhood film reels.

There's a really good documentary that you won't watch because a "guy like me" told you about it, but you'd be a lot less concerned about nuclear winter if you did. It's called Uranium: Chasing the Dragon's Tail. It's about a year old and very informative.

I still hold to the idea that in any war, the most dangerous thing you'll encounter will be your neighbours, followed by death squads, followed by battles taking place outside your house.
