Re Young ESL Teacher on Tourist Visa?

Hi all,

I am a 20 year old from the USA and have been offered teaching positions in Guangzhou, Beijing, and Shenyang. I do have a bachelor's degree (graduated at 18) and am about to graduate with my master's at 20. The position in Guangzhou has offered to try and secure a Z visa, but the position in Beijing says that my age and lack of experience will surely have the Z visa denied. Does anyone have any advice on this?

I know that a tourist visa is a no-no when traveling to work in another country, but if I have no way of securing a Z visa then what are my options?

Guangzhou sounds like a nice spot, and it sounds like you can spare a few days to see if they can come up with the goods, as they have offered to try.
