The authorities have your registered mailing address at the time you buy the land. However, if you move house and they write to you a couple of years later then you are certainly not going to get that letter

Essentially the whole system is flawed but they won't change it because it's a great revenue-raiser in it's current state

I remember when I passed my driving test in the UK and got my 'Full Licence' with an expiry date that was too difficult to comprehend with my young brain - 'Jeez I've got to keep this thing for 50 years or more!'

In Australia you have to renew every 5 years - just to keep the money rolling into the gov

I think I have said it before, when I see the millions of e-bikes in my 'QLV" I often think what the western countries would do. There's be tax, insurance and a whole host of charges - just because they can..........certainly in Australia !
